Is my data saved if I update the app?
Yes. Your bookmarks, highlights, dark mode preference, and reading position are all stored locally on your device and will persist through app updates.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. The entire Bible — both the original KJV and the modern rewriting — is included in the app. Everything works offline.
What translation is used?
The original text is from the King James Version (KJV), which is in the public domain. The modern rewriting was generated using AI language tools and verified for accuracy and faithfulness to Scripture.
Can I switch between the modern and original text?
Yes. Tap the menu button and use the text toggle to switch between "Modern" and "Original" at any time.
How do I highlight a verse?
Tap any verse to select it, then tap the "Highlight" button that appears. Your highlights are saved on the Annotations page.
Are there any in-app purchases?
No. All content is included with your purchase. There are no subscriptions, ads, or locked features.
